Top Hat Media ("we", "us") is a web design, hosting and SEO business based at Level 4, 29 Kiora Rd, Miranda NSW 2228, Australia. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). For clients in the United Kingdom, we also respect your rights under the UK GDPR.
What we collect
When you request a free mockup or quote on our website, we collect the details you choose to give us:
- your name, business name, email address and phone number
- your country and current website address
- the website, hosting and SEO options you select, and anything you write in your message
When you become a client, we also keep the information we need to deliver your project and send invoices, such as billing details, website content and login details for services we manage for you.
How we use it
- to reply to your request and prepare your free mockup and quote
- to design, build, host and maintain your website and deliver SEO services
- to send invoices and service updates
- to meet our legal and tax obligations
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't add you to marketing lists without your permission.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, including our website host (Vercel), our email delivery provider (Resend) and Google Fonts, which loads the fonts on our pages. Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We only share what they need to provide their service.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to two years so we can follow up on your request. We keep client records for as long as we work together and then for as long as the law requires, usually seven years for financial records.
Security
Our website uses an SSL certificate (HTTPS) and we limit access to your information to the people who need it to do their job.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.
